The story begins at the Central Park Zoo in New York City, where Alex the Lion is the undisputed “King of the Urban Jungle”. His best friend, Marty the Zebra, is experiencing a mid-life crisis and begins to dream of the wild. Driven by curiosity, Marty escapes, prompting Alex, Gloria (the bold hippo), and Melman (the hypochondriac giraffe) to leave the zoo to track him down. The group ends up in Grand Central Station and is mistakenly shipped away in crates. Their boat is hijacked by a group of militaristic, escape-artist penguins, and they eventually wash ashore on the exotic island of Madagascar. There, they meet King Julien and a wild gang of lemurs, and the pampered zoo animals must learn how to survive the wild and the carnivorous Fossa.

Where: Rehearsals will be held at Rooted Tree, 654 N. Easton Road, Glenside PA

When: Rehearsals will be held 4:30-6:00, from September 15th -January 21st, 2027.

Auditions: Will be held at 654 N. Easton Road on Saturday, September 19th at 10am.

Saturday Choreography Rehearsals will be held on Satuday September 26th, October 3rd, 10th and 17 from 10:ooam until noon.

Performance location will be Radnor High School, 130 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA.

Dress Rehearsal will be Saturday, January 23rd, at Radnor High School.

Performances will be Sunday, January 24th, 1pm and 5:30pm.
