Rooted Tree has created a special program for the 5th and 6th graders of the Abington and Rockledge communities. We aim to offer a performing arts program to all students that seek one. We, therefore, have significantly subsidized the cost of this program. That’s right Abington, Rooted Tree is offering 5th and 6th-grade students a chance to play Belle, the Beast, Lumiere, and all the other characters from Disney’s beloved Beauty and the Beast Jr. this spring! Registration begins on January 11th, 2022, and closes on January 23rd, 2022. Space is extremely limited. Enrollment is first-come, first-served.
Details
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. This “tale as old as time” is a great opportunity to bring our entire community together for family theatre at its best. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance.
